Hey, grim.. I was tired that night, very tired :L But what i meant was i agreed with everything that you said in that post but that bit that i had quoted was a bit i especially agreed with. It was supposed to come in a quote but obviously didnt work :L
@lordhow That didnt offend me at all :L its a very good theory and it probably could have been what he was thinking, but as the movie goes on he defiantly does get more feelings for Brigette.

yeah this movie draws u in and you really do conect with the characters. no other movie has ever done that to me so oviously i have to love these fils. i bet that with such good actors (emily and Katharine) any peroson that hasent watched the movies will fall in love as soon as they get a chance to see them xD i agree with you about unleashed, maybe it was way diferent because it had a diferent director? it would had been better if the end was diferent, maybe briggit getting put out of her misery or someone coming to actually help her before she gets fully transformed. and a bit of fun trivia for you guys: emily perkins claims that the hospital were they filmed unleashed was haunted O: especially the forviden are. so yeah if you have any trivia or fun facts let me know you guys xD To tell you the truth, the director, as opposed to the director of photography was good. Actually, the big failure in Unleashed was the script. Karen Walton, who created Ginger and Brigitte and who spent four years writing the original script, was not involved in Unleashed. Instead they had a different first-time scriptwriter, Megan Martin, who did not take four years to write it. She has had no writing credits since. If you listen to the dialog in Unleashed, you will notice something: there isn't very much. There are so many pauses, and Brigitte doesn't answer people so often that it could hardly be called dialog. The sad thing about Unleashed is that Emily Perkins really does give one of the best performances I've ever seen. She carries the first half of the movie by herself, with little help from the dialog. She has a lot of solo scenes, she has a lot of scenes where she says nothing and just reacts. And she even has a scene or two where the lines she's given are downright bad and she still makes it fantastic. You expect that from say, Meryl Streep. And the changes in Brigitte's personality from the first movie are both believable and sad. For me, the first thing I saw of the GS trilogy was a few scenes at the beginning of Unleashed. Not even knowing Ginger or Brigitte, Emily Perkins performance, and the situation of a disturbed, junky girl not being what she seemed drew me in. I decided to stop watching it and see the original. Then I saw the original and was blown away. Then, ironically, I saw Unleashed in its entirety and was very disappointed. They started out with a plot concept and a theme at least on par with GS1, but they didn't go anywhere with it. I was so disappointed, but so impressed with the plot concept, that I've since been writing my own alternate to Unleashed, Ginger Snaps: The Feral Bond on fanfiction.net.

i always thought the pauses in briggits dialoge were because they were trying to make her look emotionally withdrawn so that she couldnt get to know anyone for fear that she could like who they are and put them in danger either from "the big bad would" or her growing need to kill due to the virus. gues we all look at it in diferent ways xD i dint know they changed the script writer! looks to me the only thing they did not change were emily and Katharine, so atleast i am thankfull for tat the first time i saw GS was a while back like 3 or 4 years earlier. i remember sitting down and tuning into the sci fi chanel (spelled sy fy by now) and watching GS the begining. the scene that got me was where they are trying to escape out of the fort at night, the go in the graveyard and wait for the gurd to pass and not see them. ginger has this sword and she looks kick ass when she puts it infront of her in a defencive gesture xD i dint know there were more movies about GS, but eventually a few years later i remembered watching it and to my suprise it would be on air again, thats when i saw GS 1 and blew my pants off. it was(IS) the best movie ever and i have been hooked ever since. you are writing a alternate story? u must show it to me i would like to see your take on the genre.

Actually, yes, it did come through like that, (her being withdrawn to not endanger anybody else) but it was nothing but Emily Perkins' performance that gives you that impression. It was not something written into the script. Actually, the story, what is finished of it, is here: www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/1/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondA few notes about it, yes, I've written a novel-length manuscript as a sequel to a movie that ran under 108 minutes. It's 55,000 words long, and I think it's going to be twice that length when it's done. Today, I combined chapters 11-15 into one chapter. I meant them to be one chapter originally. Chapters 12-15 just has notes stating that has been done, but the story continues with Chapter 12. In this story, the scenes in Unleashed prior to her waking up in the hospital have all happened, that is, those with Jeremy and Ginger, the monkshood overdose, and the werewolf attack, but are referred to only in retrospect. Second, Alice, Ghost and Tyler are not in this story. I've introduced a set of different secondary characters. Not that I hated those characters, but they just did not belong in the story I was telling. In fact, I didn't think Ghost belonged in the story THEY were telling.

I liked Ghost's character, just not in Unleashed. She never seemed to fit. I might have kept Alice and Tyler, but I had to wonder why. This was a story with a completely different slant than Unleashed. Keeping even in name would have kept expectations, and they were bound to be only those characters in name only. So, I dropped them. Yes, please let me know what you think. Either here, as a review on the site, or you could email me at freerad3@yahoo.com

haha yeah i accindentally aded "the" insted of "but" its suppoused to be "but the name grows on you" i gues she dosent really fit in the story but i think they needed someone that could look inocent at first and reveal her true nature as we got to know her better. about droping some characters, maybe you could had named some pets after them or incorporated their names there some how(even if they wont be important to the main subject but more as a fun treat for us fans that would instantly make the conection ) finished chapter 1 and it had some similar scenes and dialogue from unleashed, but i like that it stays true to the first GS movie. reading chapter 2 and i see it really deprats from unleashed at this point. cant wait to finish xD

finished chapter 2 and 3. not really sure about chapter 2 at this point, gues it will lead to something further in the story, nice decription of a attack xD and i have to ask, does the mention of the moon mean that this time the moon has an actual effect on people who are infected??? chapter 3 was cool too and a bit funny at the end its good to see the "ginger-thing" more ofthen than in unleashed.

Oh, the moon definitely has an effect. I know it was suggested, maybe, in the original that it doesn't (or perhaps it does, since no other werewolf movie had gradual changes through the cycle.) But the connection between the moon and the changes was not actually broken in the original, and Jason was turning pretty quickly compared to Ginger, and was pretty gone crazy on the day of the full moon. It's full effect will be described later.

did anyone else know that emily perkins had a son? Actually, she adopted two young cousins who were abandoned by their parents. And she now has a biological son, too, I think.

lordhowl, "i am changing. like right now and full moons have nothing to do with it" briggit explains to sam. but hey i will keep an open mind and take it as a diferent lycanthrophy story xD though i do hope you din't add silver bullets to the mix. and about jason turning quickly i think he did not turn faster than ginger, i think it apeared that way because maybe he handled it way diferent and maybe even lost control (pluz the acne couldnt help his image >.<) so it might appear that he was transforming faster, but i dont know its just my opinion. xD i have to say i do enjoy reading this alternet story. i discovered i love reading like 2 years ago, and now i always have booKs with me and this story is exactly what i am intrested in xD i read through the looking glas (intresting and weird) and i am currently reading your chapters and a nice litle old book about werewoulfs (the only real investigation in to lycanthropes) you can read them at forgotenbooks.org its free and there is a wide selection xD i had to buy mine though since im always in the run and i need to take my books with me

But about the connection to the full moon, when Brigitte has that line, what does she really know by that time? She knows the changes are, so far, gradual regardless of the moon. However, it appears they aren't totally separate. Ginger goes through the most radical changes on the full moon. GS doesn't prove the two are totally disconnected, and the legends otherwise are too strong about this. In my story, the legends are generally right, but wrong about details. No, silver bullets won't kill werewolves more effectively than other ammunition, nor will a pure silver blade do them more damage than usual, but the legends regarding silver also weren't totally incorrect . . . you'll see. About Jason's werewolfism developing no faster, actually, if you look at the calender Brigitte uses, you'll see that Ginger had been infected for twenty-one days when she infected Jason. She also killed her first dog and developed her first fangs that night. Meanwhile, Jason's developed to where he actually had the full set of fangs in just seven days, and like Ginger, he was pretty insane on the day of the full moon. In the original script (which has the, "maybe they just dreamt it" status) Jason does transform, like Ginger, on the full moon. So, the did not totally break the connection to the full moon, they simply strengthened the connection to the menstrual cycle. The story also explains some loose ends in the original. Such as why nobody else ever ran across the carcass of the Beast of Bailey Downs; and why, if the changes are gradual, that werewolfism isn't accepted as a disease, or why it's not more widely-known; and why, if it's actually sexual transmitted, that it hasn't spread like AIDS.

maybe there is a conection to the moon, i must had over looked it since they dont really mention the conection, just what briggit said and i think when she is looKing at her calendar but thats about it. by "the original script" you mean the actual GS script or your own? and if you do mean GS scrip, where can i find it perhaps making jason look like he is turning faster is mearly the directors way of depicting how teenagers (male) go through a wild stage, revel stage if you may call it, where we do crazy and dumb things sometimes without any reason (most times that reason is a girl), and maybe he made ginger transform slower to show how girls are more mature than boys (most of the time) keep in mind that this is a feminist horror film, since you almost never see 2 strong girls as main characters and to that add female werewolfs. again just giving my opinion im galad you din't make the silver bullets that lethal xD don't want it to turn in to a repeat of most werewolf movies >.< faster decay is a good way to explain how no one ever found a werewolf body so props to that aswell. i will start reading the 4th chapter right now.
