As much as I love Ginger Snaps, I wish it had been longer. The movie missed so many interesting opportunities.
Such as it showed Brigitte helping to conceal Ginger's tail, but Ginger had some fairly obvious fangs by then. I don't know if they showed them, but her nails had also begun to look pretty odd. It's a minor thing by comparison, but she was getting more and more streaks in her hair.
With nothing in the movie about this, how did they conceal it?
By foisting it all off as Halloween costuming, I think. It was that time of year, and when Ginger showed up at the party, they presumed she was costumed. Maybe she and Brigitte played that up all the way through the month.
Though it would have made more sense if Brigitte would have been dressing up, too in the weeks leading up to the change.
It would have added some realness to it if other people noted Ginger's physical changes. But the movie is great as is.

Ok i can see hiding a tail might be hard like in the case with Ginger, but with the claws, she could said that they were new nails the she just got done.
now here's a good question that i would like to ask, when she started to were the hood over her head was that to hid the fact that her ears were changing as well like in the case when bee started to change.
and something the moive never touched on but is still going though my mind, after that night if ginger handn't died would she change back into a human or would she be stuck as ginger wolf?

Welcome to our quaint little site. Here, have some dog meat. You're last question first: Neither. First, I don't think she would have changed back after death, because the Beast of Bailey Downs apparently did not. I think her body might have totally rotted away in a few hours leaving no evidence of werewolves, except maybe a little fur, some brittle teeth, a big puddle, and maybe an evil, horrible smell. I mean, what happened to the carcass of the BoBD? Fact is, if it changed back, Sam would be wanted for vehicular manslaughter. If it didn't, and it had a "human circumsized dick," somebody would find carcass. Brigitte would hear of it. It would be in the headlines. Another possibility is that Sam took the carcass away in the van and put it on ice somewhere. But if he did, he would have surely told Brigitte. They would have made that a plot point. Also, if he had absolute proof of a lycanthrope, Sam was smart enough to get it to a zoologist. So, he left the beast, maybe took a sample that didn't last, even under refrigeration. It decomposed and decayed away in a few hours, and Ginger did, too. Her nails hardly looked human. They didn't look like they "had been done." They were cycle shaped, big, and later, retractable. That can't normally pass as human. Now, I think the hood hid her ears, but also hid her constantly changing hair streaks. Her complexion was also very pale, much more than at the beginning. And she didn't know what was going to suddenly change on her. Embarrassing to have your lips turn black in front of your parents.

i see your point there. i think the easy thing was the hair to hide. if someone asked all she had to say was she died that way.
