So, I just realised, around this time last year was the first time I saw Ginger Snaps1 Even though I didn't join the site until a few weeks later. I can honestly say Ginger Snaps is still my favourite move so far because it just really made me feel. So I know this has been done before but does anyone want to share their Ginger Snaps 'first time'?

The exact date I watched it on was April 10th, I just checked I think I watched it November 8th 2009, after seeing a part of Unleashed a week before and being hooked by Brigitte's character.

I'd love to share I had the privilege of seeing Ginger Snaps in theaters, on opening night here in Canada..May 11th, 2001 it was. I will never forget how I felt when I left the cinema..How much that movie had impacted me. I was completely silent during the entire ride home...Just thinking about the movie.. I saw it again in theaters the following week end. From that moment on, I knew this movie was going to be a big part of me..It is and always will be my absolute favorite movie..So there you have it! Oh...and I'd LOVE to give a shout out to all the old members in here...I haven't been on the board in ages! I miss it though.....good to see there's still activity going on in here, and new fans. Loving it!

Loving it! Wow! I almost can't believe it. Thanks for sharing. That was a quite an ending. The pictures and the sequins going upward, as though to tell Brigitte, "Your childhood's over kid." And all she had left of her sister and best friend was that carcass.

That I watched Ginger Snaps was actually a coincidence! A friend of mine recorded it from TV but was scared to watch it alone, so I joined her and we watched it together. It was in November, I think 2004, maybe 2003. From that time on it became my favourite movie, she also liked it very much. We talked a lot about it, watched it later again and waited desperately for the second and third movie (after we knew they existed), which I finally ordered on DVD, because it didn't air on TV until 2009 or so. After all, since I knew Ginger Snaps I compare every werewolf movie or every werewolf in a normal movie with GS. Mostly not for benefit of the other one.

Hey thanks for sharing everyone! And Ghost welcome back! It's cool to have some old members back on the boards. Seeing GS in the cinema must have been amazing!!! What was everyone's general reaction towards it?

Well, I was completely mesmerized by the movie... When I first saw it, I was 14 years old and I was shocked at how much I could connect to Brigitte's character. Our personalities shared a lot of similarities. And that ending.... I don't care what anyone says, the ending to Ginger Snaps was one of the most depressing endings to a movie I have ever seen. I was sitting there in that theater and my face was drenched with tears, and I was surprised at myself because I NEVER fucking cry at movies lol So well done, and such a brilliant ending. What originally made me want to see it was the fact that it was a werewolf movie, and I LOVED werewolf movies. But I saw it and it was so much more than just a werewolf movie..Sigh. I just recently re-watched GS and GS2 with a friend of mine who had never seen the films, and it had been a HELL of a long time since I had watched them.. Made me realize how much I missed the movies..
