I was watching Ginger Snaps again yesterday, and I noticed two things I hadn't noticed before.
1. The monkshood in this movie is made twice and put in a syringe. In this movie the colour is kinda redish. But in Ginger Snaps Unleashed the monkshood fluid is obviously bright purple. How can it be made the same way and be different colours?
2. I noticed in the scene where Ginger is killing the janitor, she has different colours or eyes. Her left eye is blue and her other eye is still her natural colour. Just wondering if anyone had noticed that too.
(If this has already been mentioned, sorry my mistake.)

For number 1, it's possible that Brigitte switched to a different strain while looking for the one that had the best effect. I could be that she has a higher concentration, or even a different species. Or that the stalks were fresher. But in all actuality, it's probably because by the second movie they thought bright purple would be visually the most dramatic, whereas in 1 they weren't they concerned with it. For number 2, I have to admit, I looked at the scene, and could not see it. But the reason I looked at the scene: the script says that's how she looks. Now, funny thing about that, she must be getting completely different vision out of the two eyes. And does this indicated the two sides of her brain have changed asymmetrically? For number 2,

Wow lordhowl your theory about number 2 is interesting. That she looks trough both eyes differently. Hadn't thought about that.

Wow lordhowl your theory about number 2 is interesting. That she looks trough both eyes differently. Hadn't thought about that. Well, a canine sees quite differently, than a human being, but of course, werewolves aren't really canines. I would think she's getting different color perception, probably much better night vision, worse day-vision, though, and probably it's a little less sharp. If she's dealing with that, coming into one side of her head only, no wonder she's grumpy.

I noticed this, well not during, but a few minutes ago. I found out about a movie called "The Werewolf" made in 1913. Apparently it's the first known werewolf film.
The director's name is Henry, like Ginger & Brigitte's dad. The writer's name is Ruth Ann, like how Ginger's name is Ginger Ann And the plot is about Indians, which reminds me of GS3

2. I noticed in the scene where Ginger is killing the janitor, she has different colours or eyes. Her left eye is blue and her other eye is still her natural colour. Just wondering if anyone had noticed that too. I know it's a bit late, but I have to say s.th. about that: I think I read somewhere that this was planned. The transformation should first show up on one side of the girl's body. (apart from the hair and the tail which are "in the middle" of the body anyway). You can also see it in Ginger Snaps Unleashed. Brigitte's ear, eye and hand changed first - all on one side. Which leads me to the next funny thing: On GS1/GS3 Gingers left side changed first und on GS2 Brigittes right side changed first

Which leads me to the next funny thing: On GS1/GS3 Gingers left side changed first und on GS2 Brigittes right side changed first I think they did it because it looked cool. Now that I have a high-def video chipset, I can actually see it. The only problem with one eye changing as opposed to one hand or one ear changing (an asymmetry I can believe) is that person's vision would be so changed. And the center of the vision, which is where everybody sees most, would be mismatched. It would be messed up, as cool and creepy as it looked. I could really see Ginger putting one eye and then the other eye forward, or closing one eye and then the other, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. I'm presuming that a werewolf vision is probably slightly less sharp at distance, with somewhat limited color vision, with maybe the color perception shifted, but kick-ass night vision. Plus, they'd probably have excellent motion detection vision. Like they could probably sense the slight motion in your throat where the blood is pumping. The sense of smell would compensate for anything lost in color or sharpness. But if Ginger has that in one eye and human vision in the other, she would be very confused, and probably scared and irritated by it.

I just wanted to add this, because it was what I knew and noticed...
Of course a werewolf or turing into one would bring sharp senses with it and I also agree with you that they did it as a special effect in the movie, because it looked cool. That's why they didn't think about what it would be like in "reality", that this wouldn't work because of what you said. And I think it would be much too difficult (or it would take too long) to consider these things in the movie and so they simply left it out.
