Was that because it was the point of infection, or because it was the point of infection AND she touched the monkshood with it? Notice she immediately swoons when she picks up the monkshood.
It's interesting, because I read that wolf's bane numbs your skin if you handle the roots, and in fact, can poison you through your skin.

Interesting lordhowl, I haven't given this detail much thought .... until now. I think the infection hit her and everything became just too much for her.

My thought was the same as Wicky's. But the fact that wolf's bane might poison through skin might indeed have something to do with it.

monkshood is dangerous if you touch the nectar that comes out when you cut it, thats why glouves are required when handeling it. it can cause erratic heart rate and you may die of cardiac arrest. it is not dangerous when dried up, that is why it is used for arts and crafts and its popularly used for flower arangements hence the mom having it in her home. i want atleast a branch of it even if its a powerfull poison. lucky for me, my aunt has neighbours that have such a plant. i discovered this last time i went but i coulnt go into private property just for it... or atleast not while the sun is up now getting back to the topic, i do not think that briggit's arm went numb from the monkshood since it was dry. and if you recal on GS the beginning, when they are aplying leaches to briggit the doctor asks "do you feel that?" and when she tells him that she does he repplies "good, means you are still alive" wich suggest that numbness is a simptom of being infected. tell me what you think guys. i had researched monshood before i knew of GS so im glad i was into mystic plants before lol

It's nectar or roots are dangerous. I couldn't remember if it was monkshood, or only wolfs bane that could kill you if you touched the nectar. You cleared that up, though. They are both definitely very same poison, though. I emphasize that in my story that monkshood is dangerous. Funny thing is: Karen Walton, GS scriptwriter, actually said that she used the wrong species name for it, because she was afraid people might actually try to shoot it after seeing the movie! I agree with your thinking, really, I think it might have been a coincidence that Brigitte began to swoon just then. A moment later, she says, "I can't feel my hand." And you know, that was the hand that was holding the syringe when Ginger lunged at her: the hand that couldn't operate the syringe.

i think that the real poisonous plant is the white aconitum, perhaps karent chose one a bit less poisonous. and thanks for that info, i did not know she did that.
yup just a coincidence.
perhaps the numbnes is something that the werewolf virus has learned to do so that pray that may survive for one or another reson can later be caught easily. just throwing a thought right there, maybe it explains the numbnes.
