Okay, not too imaginative of a title, probably it's a "working title." Katy is getting third billing, however, which might make it the biggest part she has had in a long time.
According to the IMDB, the movie has Rachel Leigh Cook and Kevin Zegers as the first two leads. Their character names aren't given in the list. Katy plays the part of Lapis Lazuli (could that be a vampire name? lol) and also has Amanda Plummer and Keisha Castle-Hughs. It's cast is not small.
It's apparently due to be out next year. The director, writer and producer is Shunji lwai. It looks to be completely his project, and though he has a lot of previous credits, it looks to be his first American picture. He has won a lot of film awards in Japan and internationally for his films. This should be good.

This is interesting. On that note, can anyone think of actors that have played a vampire and a werewolf? The only one I can think of is Michael Sheen. (Underworld & Twilight) Kris Lemche plays a vampire in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead and would have been a werewolf if not for Ginger clapping down his throat. I guess if Katharine plays a vampire in this one, she would also fit the bill.

New development this week on Vampire: It looks like Katy has been dropped from the cast list, so has her character. However, she is in a DtV called Hard Ride to Hell that was just released ten days ago, where she plays Kerrie Strain, and she's billed 5th. Higher than usual.

yup looks like she is off of there >.< wich sucks. what was going to be her rolle though? was she just a victim of a attack or was she going to have a important role? Oh, no, it was a big part of some sort. She was listed as third on the billing, which is a large part. And her character name was Lapis Lazuli, which is a campy vampire name if I ever heard one. Almost Rocky-Horroresque. It looks like this film is in early pre-production, which means that there's going to be a lot of changes. But at the time they gave the cast list and Katy's name, the two leads ahead of her weren't given character names. I would think that they wouldn't even list it until those details were nailed down. I wonder what it was that would put her completely out of the cast, though? Even the character. That was one huge plot restructuring in a very short time. Doesn't give me confidence, even if the director is so well regarded.

Oh man I love Rachel Leigh Cook! & a Lapis Lazuli is a blue rock. Apparently Egyptian cultures would bury a lapis lazuli scarab with their dead to offer protection. It's the birthstones for September & December. Lolz, this is what happens when my brother studies stones & talks about it all the time. I'm kinda sad she's in a vampire movie though. I use to like vampire movies until everyone went crazy with them, now I'm just sick of it. But, for Katherine Isabelle, I'll make a bunch of my friends see it with me when ever it comes out

A completely different cast list has been put up. I don't know what's going on with it.
