Brigitte, however, had been too cleverly efficient in disappearing. So, the only people who could help her already listed her among the lost, a list that included Ginger and Jason.
In the sentence above, did you mean Sam instead of Jason? If not, how would Jason be any assistance to Brigitte?

Brigitte, however, had been too cleverly efficient in disappearing. So, the only people who could help her already listed her among the lost, a list that included Ginger and Jason. In the sentence above, did you mean Sam instead of Jason? If not, how would Jason be any assistance to Brigitte? No. It isn't a typo, and it's not about who could help Brigitte. The way Lewis and his employers are counting, the Bailey Downs incident resulted in four dead and three missing, and presumed to have fully animalized. Ginger and Jason are on the list with Brigitte as missing and presumed changed. So, the organization isn't even certain that Ginger died. This is meant to foreshadow several things. As you'll find out later, if an infected person totally changes and dies, the werewolf virus quickly destroys the carcass. (Why didn't Sam take some samples of that roadkill? And why didn't anybody else notice the carcass the next day?) Truth is, Lewis and his people had never been able to preserve any tissue from a totally animalized werewolf. Blood or anything. Moreover, their "organization" did not exist at the time of the Bailey Downs Incident, and had to investigate retroactively. So, Lewis and his employers could not know from police reports whether Ginger had actually died in that house or simply escape. I'll give a detail away: it turns out Ginger's behavior was exceptional. Usually, when a person is bitten, after the second week, they leave their family and friends and will hide somewhere, in the wilderness or an abandoned buildings, basically, they wait for the final change. They are called "intermediates" by that time, and are paranoid and extremely dangerous. As Lewis describes them: strong, fast, well-armed, psychotic, murderous and with superhuman senses. The group doesn't have a hunter/tracker in it. Once they reach the full moon, Lewis has virtually no way of finding them until after they kill. Ginger was a sole exception in that she stuck around and tried to be human until the very end. She actually did quite well, too. Lewis was surprised this did not result in at least ten people being killed and a few more infected.

I just put up Chapter 15 of my fanfiction, Ginger Snaps: The Feral Bond. www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/1/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondFor those of us who just joined, (hello sophie!) this starts with the exact story concept Unleashed and takes it in a completely different direction. Tyler, Alice and Ghost are not in this story, though the first few scenes of Unleashed, with Jeremy, have happened and are referred to retrospectively. Brigitte is found in the snow, and the story begins as she regains consciousness. Like Unleashed, Ginger is there as a hallucination. Or is she?

I put Chapter 12 (Chapter 16 by the old count) up tonight. www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/12/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondThis one was easier to write than the previous (five) chapters. I did my best, but it probably needs a little bit of proofreading. For some reason, the story hasn't shown any visitors or hits in the last week. I'm wondering if it's the fanfic website glitching, or maybe it's just something I said? In this one, Brigitte actually talks to Sam again. We find out that Brigitte and Jason were together for six weeks after the Bailey Downs incident, but it did not end well. Also, werewolf cells have fifty chromosomes. June has been locked in a padded cell, but manages to find out some information about the psychiatrist, figuring out that somebody paid him to commit Brigitte for a while.

This doesn't make too much sense. I would think somebody would look at it by accident, at least. That includes last night, BTW.

I just put up Chapter 13 (Chapter 17 by the old count.) In this one, the horror really comes out, no more dreams about it, and the body count begins. You should begin to realize at this point that Brigitte is in every way a worse intermediate-stage werewolf than Ginger was. www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/13/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondAlso, something comes out in Ginger's character that was never depicted in the series. The character grows, even though she's dead.

Long delayed chapter 14 is almost up. Almost. I suffered two medical emergencies last week, one of them life threatening. So, I'm just happy to be around to finish it. I also had a family emergency.
On top of that, I came right to the end of the chapter, made a boneheaded error saving it, and over-wrote out every copy of the file I had. It was one false click of the mouse, and the wrong document got saved over it.
Save one copy. A voice recording of it. I always read my writing aloud before I post it (actually a rule I only began to apply on this chapter.) So, after the monotonous process of re-transcribing the chapter, it will finally be up.
I've changed my saving procedures since then. I think I might have died if I totally lost this chapter.
So, it should be up by tomorrow at the latest.

Chapter 14 is now up: www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/14/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondIn this chapter, you finally get some idea of what the "rules" of werewolfism really are in my GS universe. I just hope it wasn't too expository. No, silver has no effect on them, but silver tarnish, silver oxide, does! It was very hard to find a shiny silver blade in the 13th century, you see. Also, werewolfism had been extinct for 300 years. It's presence is connected to dark matter. I think the Hollywood rules have been well-shredded without making werewolves too totally different, just far cooler.

I just put up Chapter 15: www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/15/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondIn this one, we find out that there's really a bit more to the bird-necklaces than meets the eye, among many other things. I also made some minor changes in the first chapter, not really changing any story or character details, just making things clearer and making it flow better. I'm finally receiving some good constructive criticism that helps.

I just put up Chapter 16 of The Feral Bond entitled "Shattered Oath." www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/16/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondThe story peaks here. It's very horrifying and very sad. Sam makes an appearance. Warning: You might not be able read it due to tears. It's the first time in a long while that I've managed to put up two chapters in a week. Ten thousand words, about thirty pages. I'm now including titles with the chapters, something I didn't start out doing.

I just put up chapter 17 of GS: The Feral Bond. The chapter is entitled "Defilement." www.fanfiction.net/s/5709622/17/Ginger_Snaps_The_Feral_BondThe story's course continues to darken, with Brigitte's original personality totally gone and Ginger dead again, and June, the only one who befriended them utterly defeated-- and worse. It also has the darkest, scariest, most cruel scene I've ever written. Ginger was such a good-natured intermediate-stage werewolf compared to Brigitte! And no, she hasn't even completely changed yet. The story is now about 86,000 words long. It looks like it will run another 50,000. Yes, I went insane for this movie and its characters. That's why I'm here.
