What impressed me both about the movie was Brigitte's bravery. At the end, she goes into the basement against the equivalent of a rabid bear with nothing but a syringe in her hand. This is a physically small, young girl. To me, that was a remarkable change in the character, and something totally unexpected.
Never mind that she fainted going down the steps. That was her body giving out to shock. She got right back up and continued.
And then she defied it and fought it. I think she won with a lucky shot, but it was made possible from her jumping onto the bed.
She made a few mistakes in course of the movie, but she was hardly equipped for something this grave.
To me, Brigitte Rocks. I thought she was heroic and wonderful. In horror movie heroes, she's right up there with MacReady in "The Thing," and just as tragic. The type of characters that make the horror genre worthwhile.

Brigitte does rock It also showed how close Brigitte and Ginger really were. Even though Ginger was technically not her sister anymore, she still was to B. Sad but loving. If my sister was changing into a werewolf... I donno what I would do

I could go on forever about how much I love Brigitte. She's an (un)known feminist icon, and not just a Joss Whedon kind. She doesn't promote female power by wearing skanky clothes and killing alot, she just went against some cliche's that really added up at the end.
