Ginger's body stayed as the body of the wolf, she never transformed back. I guess in the realm of "Ginger Snaps" once you transform that's it, you're a werewolf forever.

It's pretty much proven if you take the other 2 movies in account. The skull of the werewolves and the *head on a stick* didn't transform back in the prequel.

Good point .... I was just thinking cuz the first werewolf was run over by Sam ( ) ... and so it wasn't clear to me wether she would've changed back, but I think you're right. And here I am uber late but still saying: happy bday jp.

Thats one of the things I love about GS, is that even though its a work of fiction, it still is sensical to the point where once a body goes through such a physical transformation, it's not just going to morph back perfectly into the human body it was before. What's done is done. Although that would have been pretty gory to see the head's of the wolves on the sticks transform back into human heads on sticks

In the original script she changes back, but I think that was just early in production of their new lycanthropy... But I think they're supposed to stay the same... *blinks* *isn't making sense anymore*

Huh... Well, if she changed back It'd make a more.. Sad ending I think, cause if she changed back, then somehow somewhere the answer to change back without dying lies...

Like everything else here, I'm late answering by a few years. I post these for any one else who runs across the site. My guess is, her body totally decomposed within an hour. Two tops. The bones, some of them, possibly last 12, before falling to dust. Why? Well, remember Sam hit a werewolf? Why was it that he didn't put it in his van? If not, why did nobody else run across the body? And if werewolf's exist and can be killed by mundane means, why aren't they well known? My thinking: When the body of a fully animalized werewolf is killed, the "virus" then eats the body-- rapidly.

What if they just turn back into people? All the werewolves I know do. not that I killed them.

What if they just turn back into people? All the werewolves I know do. not that I killed them. That was a plot convention. If this movie is supposed to get werewolfism closer to biology, transforming back into the person after death doesn't make sense, when you think of the energy expended in transforming back. Running it in reverse when the body is already dead and the "curse" served its purpose, really doesn't make any sense. Moreover, the mangled mess at the back of Sam's van didn't look like it would turn into anything else. From a story-telling point of view, the body disintegrating means that authorities will always lack key evidence in solving a werewolf case. The person will go as missing. Lastly, I think the Beast of Bailey Downs wasn't caught because it was in human form-- except at the full moon. Which implies that, over time, Ginger would have gained the ability to go into human form again. Even if her personality would have been different.

Yeah. I'm assuming when you get the curse, there is no turning back. Once you are infected you will change and the only way to escape it is to die.

Body horror at it's best.

Body horror at it's best. A costume you can't take off. I so agree with you. The collapse of Ginger's personality was horrifying, too; more so as she became physically stronger and more dangerous. That was both wondrous and frightening. A movie that works in so many ways, and the best werewolf tragedy ever.

Yeah. I'm assuming when you get the curse, there is no turning back. Once you are infected you will change and the only way to escape it is to die. The original movie made it so much like a disease rather than a curse. Both a mental and physical illness-- with "a purpose." It even had a "treatment" that proved to be weak. Diseases might have cures, but for one like werewolfism you need a chain of research labs and a century to come up with one. Ginger only had 28 days.

I think that the reason Ginger remained in her wolf-form was because she was well... dead. Her life was over. Even if she could turn human again, how is that possible? Her soul would be elsewhere. Brigitte probably got rid of the body and hit the road after that. If that were the case, the sisters would have been declared missing, and after many years, most likely presumed dead.

It sounds weird 'Brigitte probably got rid of the body' ... She and Ginger were close, I don't know if Brigitte would be able to 'just' get rid of the body.

Brigitte had not one, but two bodies to get rid of. Maybe she pulled out an ingenious miracle doing it, but I'm sorry, she didn't appear to be in any condition to do any of that even if she could think of how. Not that it would have helped. She still had a house full of blood and two people missing besides her and two others confirmed dead. Authorities would have put it together, somewhat. Not that a werewolf was involved, but that the two missing people were likely dead. She might as well not hide the bodies at all and let authorities be as baffled by them as they would have been without them.
