I don't know if this has been discussed but its been bothering me.. I was on IMDB and they were discussing their relationship. Anyways a lot of people were saying that because of the "I don't think of you that way" line that he didn't have interest in her at first, but I think thats bull and they were not paying attention closely to the movie.
When we first see Sam he is dealing to Jason and his set and Ginger says the "She screws a drug dealer" line. Anyways when he pulls out there is a shot of Bridgette then him. Well I think that shows that he was kinda checking her out and had interest in her before they even properly met.
As for the "I don't think of you.." line... I think that was more to do with Ginger totally being a bitch to him and what she said, I think he was just embarrassed by her comments and didn't want Bridgette to think that was the only reason he was helping her.
Now I do think he was attracted to her at first and that he was a cherry chaser so that might have had something to do with it, but to say he didn't have some kind of feeling for her till later in the film is kinda bunk. I feel that these comments come from these people not finding her that attractive in the first film. I personally thought she was the most attractive, Katherine was sexy as hell in the film and is a beauty but I just found Emily to be my cup of tea and she is a very beautiful woman.

I actually think it was more that he recognised her... from seeing her run from the werewolf, and might be interested in what she knows about it. Just what I think though, but it seems more fitting as a clue-ish scene rather than him just checking her out.
Agreed on that though
You start that very good with a ''I think'' as it's pure speculation and your interpertation of it. It's what you like to think, other fans might have other thoughts on that. But it's not made very clear in the movie, so canonically we will never know.

That happened before the werewolf scene.

Wow, totally my bad, admitted ^^.
Ah well, then I guess it's open for further interpertation.

Lolz wow this was talked about 2 years ago, but I'm going to post anyway! I agree with you that there was a connection. In the first two drafts/scripts that are up (you can find them on this site) Sam and Brigitte are supposed to kiss in both of the orginals. Hopefully those scripts are real and if they are, then it shows that obviously they both liked each other.
I watched/listened to the writer, Karen's commentary of Ginger Snaps and Karen was thinking about "girl power". She wanted to show that Brigette didn't need a boyfriend to survive through everything and to show boyfriends aren't everything. Sadly, she also says that the reason Sam dies was because he wasn't the answer, Brigette had to do it alone. *Sigh* haha I love this movie, it's just sad when Kris Lemche's character dies in almost every movie!

I didnt know that Sam and Brigitte were supposed to kiss in the first two scripts .. thanks for the information . But the view of Brigitte as an individual girl needing to survive on her own makes sense too so kinda good they let it out ... but it would've been an awesome deleted scene!

... would've been an awesome deleted scene! Yeah. It would have been nice to see someone showing poor little Brigitte some well deserved love. Also, in the original draft, Sam was a buff, glistening, handsome, Adonis who just got out of prison. lol I thought that the deleted scenes with the two of them were very cool and should have been kept in the final cut. They really helped explain the relationship between them better. I wish they would release a version with all the scenes put back in. The one with Pam at the end was a huge deal! BTW, I took the original drafts and compiled them into one file for each script (they had been broken into like three or four) and if anybody wants them, I'll post the PDFs up for download.
