I haven't seen it for a while. I can only see it again with someone else who hasn't seen it before.

You should watch the commentaries, you learn all this interesting stuff, like how in the original idea for the movie Sam was a female nurse into tattoos and peircings.

Thanks for that . Well I have the DVD, but there are no commentaries on it (I think), or is it about 5 to 10 minutes?? Because then I have something on it... A little documentary....

I think you might not have the Canadian version, which is pretty much the only one with commentaries, but that's okay, as long as you've got a DVD ;D

The first time I saw a poster for Ginger snaps, i swear to god I thought that Brigitte was a guy with long hair. Until, of course I found out that i was very wrong. But even now looking at a few of the GS pictures, Brigitte does look like a dude in some of the shots IMO. Of course, this thread is only three years old now, but if you ever come back . . . or more like if anyone ever reads this . . . I'll just say, you're used to the Hollywood standard of beauty, and Hollywood people don't even look like real people. They almost look like aliens now. They call someone like Emily Perkins to play a part when they need somebody to actually play a peon. No insult to Emily meant. Emily Perkins is very good looking, but not Hollywood a-million-dollars-into-my-looks good looking. I thought Brigitte was a very pretty girl, but she doesn't dress herself, groom herself, or present herself that way. She is in every way, an awkward, bashful, 15-year-old girl who is at the stage where the whole idea of attraction and sex disgusts her, who gets stressed out looking in the mirror, who the only friend she thinks she needs is her sister. Of course, she doesn't present herself as pretty. It's not only her dress, but you could see the tension in her posture. Fact is, though, at the very beginning, Ginger is the same way, though not nearly as timid. I mean, her hair is mussed, she's wearing frumpy skirt with an obvious slip showing, and doesn't care if it shows. However, she isn't actually awkward as Brigitte does. And she's much prettier even without the grooming.

lordhowl, I agree. No offense to B or Emily Perkins, but when my friend came over to my house one day I was in the middle of watching GS. It was the part when B is in the forest looking for Ginger after she's attacked, my friend was like "What are you watching? Is that a rock?" I was like "-__- nope that's a girl." So now he calls her rock girl when ever I talk about this movie. A pointless story for you all that I wanted to share Plus I'm sick today I'm probably going to look back at this post a couple days for now and be like "O__o wtf"

A rock? Well, that's going a bit too far, unless it's slang I haven't heard before. That image is funny because Brigitte is physically small and slight.
but you only need to take one look at Brigitte and know that she's an outcast in high school.
Did your friend call her a rock because she's bundled up? It takes place in Canada.
There's another point that comes to mind, but I need to make that under the Ginger category.

Lolz no no, I don't think it was slang for anything. It was a pretty dark scene so I think he just couldn't see her that well.
He really liked the movie though! We watched the 2nd and 3rd together too. At first we didn't like the 3rd one cause we wanted it to be B who got bite that time, but the ending was awesome so we were happy aha.
