Ginger Snaps wouldn't exactly fall into this category, except at the end, when light is shining in all the windows of the house in the dead of night. This was not an error, the script called for it. I refer to this in my story, GSTFB, in fact, it creates an important transition. I also think having Brigitte's hair lit so it looks red during the final scene probably was a similar trick.
I just finished watching "The Shining" though (1979 version), and did anybody else see how there were windows and doors where there couldn't possibly be any? Like in one scene, they show the characters walking through a room with five huge, sunny windows in it. The camera side-dollies with them, following them through until they go into the hall and there's a perpindicular hallway that runs behind the wall which the windows were on. They did that deliberately.
Also, they have a seen where Danny's on his Big Wheel in the hall. Beyond the right wall facing parallel, a door is open leading to steps going down, but down the hall just a little further there's a room door that, if it opened, would drop a person right into the stairwell.
These aren't exceptional, there are all kinds of architectural impossibilities in that movie. Then there's the fact that, you don't see it actually move, but furniture moves and objects disappear between shots in the same scene, and huge pieces of furniture switch positions or disappear then re-appear between scenes. If they're continuity errors, then there are an awful lot of them for such an expensive movie. Like about half the scenes in the Overlook have that going on.
Plus, the hedge maze plays a very important part in the movie, but on aerial shot at the beginning, there is no maze![/i] I know they used a hotel that didn't have a maze, but they didn't have to use shots that showed the maze definitely wasn't there. Even stranger, in one scene during the tour at the beginning, the manager says "Let me show you our famous maze," but the characters are walking away from the maze entrance and toward the hotel! Given the hotel's puzzling, impossible floor plan, maybe the hotel is the maze.

Probably not the best example but when you see an idea that could help lots of peole u start to thing "what if" Yes, Fight Club is one of the best examples, actually. You see the story through eyes of this character (who isn't even given a name) who goes insane during the course the movie. So, what he's seeing and telling you about is . . . a lie really. There are plenty of hints, of course. Where you see Tyler in various places before he meets him, and also the way Tyler is able to call him back at the payphone after his apartment is blasted. And at the end, you find out the entire thing is actually the doing of this insane guy's hallucination. Great movie.

I have to admit, i had to watch the movie 2 times to see what i missed That is an awesome movie, BTW. Although I think males would be inclined to like it a lot more than females. The main, unnamed character is such a misogynist. In The Shining, though, I swear some scenes cannot make sense unless there's something visually going on in them that you really have to look for. One scene just has Jack wearing black, with the camera holding on him staring forward and then beginning to grin. I mean the camera waits on him for more than a minute. In the scene before that, Wendy and Danny are out playing in the snow, and all of a sudden, the music builds to frightening, and it just ends. I finally saw what was frightening in that scene. In the background, they are being watched. Also, those famous twins saying, "Come play with us, Danny?" They weren't the sisters killed there! The sisters the manager mentions as being killed in the hotel were "ten and eight, I think." Moreover, the caretaker who killed them was named Charles Grady, where Jack later talks to "the ghost" of Delbert Grady and accuses him of being the one. "Delbert" admits it. Not to mention in the overhead shot of the hotel at the beginning, there is no maze! When he is showing them around, the manager says, "You haven't seen our famous maze," but they're not walking toward the maze, they're walking away from the maze toward the hotel! Also, the map of the maze doesn't look anything like the actual maze, which you see in a later overhead shot with Danny and Wendy in the center of it. The suggestion: the hotel is the maze.

Also, I joined a 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' fansite/forums, which I don't normally do because this is the only one I've joined before, and I was in their chat room chatting to a couple of members and one barely acknowledged me and the other made a bit of an effort to include me. What I'm saying is that you guys here all so much more welcoming and nice and the site is generally more friendly to new members

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEY sophie . good to say you're still here sorta And I got the reference before you put the reference up there haha I've seen the shining. Aah nice that you have found a new forum. Unfortunately I haven't seen that movie/movies? so would be weird for me to join. In the past I was a member of a few forums but unfortunately they all died out so now I'm only on this one. Ooh and Grim good luck on living a million days then
