I just got finished watching "The Descent." Maybe everyone else saw it, but I'm just catching up on movies now.
Extremely disturbing movie. I think I liked the "first ending," where Sarah survives and makes it out of the cave.
I felt so bad for Juno, of course. She got them all into it, but she did not deserve the betrayal.

I liked that movie & I liked the first ending too. ~SPOLIERS~ The two women left at the end were Juno & Sarah, right? I'm not sure about Juno, if I like her out not I mean. I'm pretty sure she cheated with Sarah's husband... but yeah... plus Sarah was really messed up by the very end so I wasn't surprised when she injured Juno & left her there. ~KAY SPOILING IS DONE ~ Apparently The Decent 2 came out last year in October. I shall check it out! Yesterday I finished watching; Equilibrium *slow start but overall alright*

I can see why Sarah did what she did at the ending. Juno did not come out as well; she came out as faithless, at least about responsibilities for her own actions.

I just saw Jennifer's Body. I'd rate it a 4 out of 10. It's what happens when Hollywood these days tries to make Ginger Snaps.
What makes it similar is the childhood friendship between Jennifer and Needy being destroyed when one of them turns into a supernatural creature. In no way is it a bad movie, and by that I mean it doesn't have any fatal mistakes that would render a movie bad. However, it lacks just enough in story, dialog, directing and acting each to keep it from ever working completely.
I mean if you think you don't really have any time to get to know Ginger in GS, it seems like there's nothing to grab onto in Jennifer's character before she's possessed. Without anything to go on, you can't tell exactly how demonic possession changed her character.
I thought Amanda Seyfried gave a good performance, (not great) but there was no chemistry between her and Megan Fox, and Fox had no range whatsoever. Plus, Seyfried did look too old for the part.
I think of how good the chemistry was between Emily and Katie. I think of the scene where Ginger is trying to cut off her tail and crying, and then I remember Megan Fox's performance . . . or even one scene in JB that had been even that touching for a second.
The movie had it's moments though. The institution scene at the beginning. I'm trying to remember another one, but it's too late . . .
I think I'll just watch GS again.

haha. I've almost picked up JB on several occasions... But, I don't know.
Haha, I think I'll go pick it up, gotta stare at that thing... Fox, I think it's called. It’s time to rock out with your cock out. Or, for the ladies, time to jam out with your clam out. Or, for the gender ambiguous, it’s time to... drop curtain... on your... uhh, uncertain? It’s time to do the serious funk out with your, ummm, mysterious junk out? - oh well... Wadda ya know?

Lmao oh wow.
I haven't seen that movie yet either, but I doubt when I do any of that rocking, claming, or curtaining will be going on ahahah.
Right now I'm watching a black & white movie called "Citizen Kane". So far the guy has said "Rosebud" & it made me laugh for some reason. I'll be done watching it sometime soon!

Citizen Kane was groundbreaking. "Rosebud" is funny because it has been done up in so many comedy bits. It's a little dated, but so much of the camera work, editing and special effects that have become standard in movies (specifically in horror movies) were brought about by Citizen Kane that you can't dismiss it. That shot at the end where Kane walks between those two mirrors and you have an "infinity" effect was not only emotionally effective, but how did they shoot that without having the camera showing in the mirror? You wouldn't have Sam Ramy without Citizen Kane. You would never have a movie like Fight Club without it. It's incredible what influence it has had.

I just saw Mulholland Dr., twice. I really suggest this movie, but be prepared to do a lot of pondering when it's done.

Haven;t seen it. Did you wach it two times in a row haha don't you have other things to do ? Anyone seen The Haunting in Connecticut? I think it's good but there was one part that really scared me, when : *spoiler!* in the flashbacks you saw some guy cutting people's eye thingies off. Gross! And I found it really sad when he trapped Jonah in the space where people get cremated.

The way I saw it, it's really a "murder mystery" told almost completely through dreams. Since 3/4ths of the movie is actually a dream, and dreams within a dream, it's really more like a fantasy film. The principle characters are actually living in a dream, and so are fantasy characters with a destiny they have to uncover. Maybe I gave away too much, or maybe people need a skeleton key for this movie. I still love Ginger Snaps better, because everyone goes through adolescence and suffers the breaking of childhood bonds. Not everyone will go through Hollywood.

If you listen to the White Stripes song called "Union Forever" all the lyrics are lines from the movie. Anyone seen The Haunting in Connecticut? I saw it a couple of months ago because my friends kept telling me how scary it was. That dream scene with the eyes was pretty freeky, but I didn't find it that scary. Plus! Did you notice at the very end how that little girl was still in the house as it was burning down & no one seemed to notice? Lmao! I couldn't believe it. Currently I started watching; Twelve Monkeys *pretty crazy!* I've seen a bear, a lion, a bear turn into a deer, a bull, an owl, and very bad costume design lmao. But hey, it was the 90's. Plus Bruce Willis is awesome.
