I decided to re-watch all three movies in one sitting. It wouldn't be too hard normally, but I've also just rented the first 2 seasons of the X files. Woohoo, Insomnia!!
So, have any of you watched all three back'2'back? If not, have you considered it?

GS is a little different, almost a throw back to the pre-sequel days. It really wasn't written to have a sequel, or prequel. I haven't considered it, only because of my situation and lack of time, most of which, goes to writing now.

Wooo! I use to love the X-Files. I haven't watched it in soooo long. This is off topic just to warn you, but you know the movie "Final Destination" ? Apparently it was made from an X-Files episode that they decided not to do.
Anyways!! How did the marathoning go? I watched te first and second in a row a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't watch them all back to back to back ahaha. Maybe someday!

I think I read that somewhere. A spec script, yes? I did enjoy the GS marathon, but it was kinda sad cus now I really want a fourth. Oh well. I can still dream.

The best we could do is write fiction ourselves. I'm still working on the second draft of the GS alternate 2, Brigitte Snaps. Once I'm done, I'm starting on another script idea I have-- one to pitch and sell, rather than a learning experience. I would like to turn this script into a story when I'm done, but trying to turn pro, I have to go right now with a project I can potentially sell. It would leave little time to turn this into a story.

John Fawcett, the director, asked Karen Walton to write a script. At the time, Fawcett was a rookie TV director in Canada, and he wanted to make an independent horror movie. That had to be in 1995. By 1996, Walton had written the first version of it, she continued to rewrite it-- for four years. Walton was reluctant, because she did not like the way horror movies depicted women. Fawcett persuaded her that this movie was aiming to break the conventions. I've read the 1996 version and the 1998 version. I wanted to see how Karen Walton's ideas developed.

No, I meant the Final Destination movie was originally a spec script. Sorry about the confusion.

Hah! Cool info about the Final Destination movies I had a friend over a few weeks ago, who had never seen the movies, heard me talk a lot about them though. We saw all of them in a row, in the order they where released. I had not seen any of them for a couple of years, so it was really nice!

She thought Ginger Snaps was, as her own choice of word "AWESOME!". She thoroughly enjoyed the first one. She had her doubts, but when the suicide slide came, she was sold.
Unleashed, she thought was rather bland.
She enjoyed the prequel almost as much as the original though. An good ending for a change was welcomed after the two rather brutal endings.
Oh, and she got the hotts for Ginger with those canines and blood all over, haha.

Nah - dream-control. Then you can be in the GS universe and do just what the heck you want. That way sleeping becomes priceless.
