I recently watched some Supernatural on DVD, and in season 2 she's in two episodes. It was such a pleasant surprise. Just thought I'd mention in and ask if anyone else watches it?

I've only seen the first few episodes of Supernatural. Great tv show, but they only aired the first 3 episodes or so here, so that sucked.

Hah, yeah! She was awesome. I almost jumped in the chair I was sitting in when I saw her. I was like "Look, look, it's Ginger" And everyone just stared at me like they where asking: "what?!..who?" Pretty bad ass when she turned all dark-side though The car. Oh yah, wouldn't mind having one. Oh, and hello again everyone!

Yay! I own all of it that's out so far, but I'm behind where television is at, so I'm waiting for the next set of DVD's. Katherine was awesome. I did the same thing, freaking out about Ginger, and my parents gave me weird looks. But then my dad said she was pretty hot and wouldn't mind watching the movies. *rolls eyes*

There are episodes Here, but they don't seem to have season 2. Still, a good place to watch seasons 3, 4 and 5 (emily's season!) ;D

I saw the episode today. I think Katharine Isabelle did well as the "civilian" with a normal life, who is unqualified for any of what Dean and Sam deal with. Isabelle has tremendous emotional range, and she shows a lot of it here. Fact is, she gets to be terrified, while for Sam it's part of his 9 to 5. Well, as much as anything in Sam's life could be a 9 to 5. I can't wait for the character to re-appear, which, according to schedule, would be in about ten more weekdays. Unfortunately, I'm thinking in that one she dies.

Supernatural got renewed for season 6 this week. We are only half way through season 5 and will be coming back from hiatus on March 25th.
Katie was actually supposed to be in more episodes than she appeared in (and IIRC, she was meant to be a love interest for Sam. NGL, I was so for it. Not because of my love for Katie, but my love for the character) however Eric Kripke decided that the Special Children storyline was getting too complicated and closed it up.
If you're interested, Best Buy (US) is currently having a sale where you can get season one for... $9.99 and the other seasons for $10 more. If any of you have a LiveJournal, PM me and I can help you there as well.
While Emily did an awesome job in her episodes, what the character stood for was rather offensive. While I stan for the show, we're not all Wincest-writing, creepy obsessive nutters.

While I stan for the show, we're not all Wincest-writing, creepy obsessive nutters. Hey, thank you so much for the tip about Best Buy. My worry about the 6th season is that Kripke is no longer going to be overseeing the scripts. He really kept this show from going the way of "Lost" or the "X-Files." Thank you for explaining this. It seemed so bizarre that they would introduce a character like that, who obviously had some chemistry with Sam, and then kill her off the next episode that she appeared. I'm disappointed. Yes, I liked the character too, but Katie was doing splendidly in the part and I really thought she needed the work. She has been getting parts, but only 8th or 9th billings. This is unjust for an actress who showed her mettle in GS. Do the episodes Emily was in imply that we are Wincest-writing, creepy, obsessive nutters? Maybe I should wait to see it. I admit that they must make it into quite a joke, but if you can't joke about people who write fanfic porn, is there any humor left in the world? Just like the Prophet Chuck. I mean should every writer be offended by that?

I didn't find Emily's role to be offensive (though I'm not a fanfic-porn writer), I thought it was a playful poke at fans and I think anyone who would take offense takes such things a bit to seriously.
I can only hope that playing the nervous, love-struck, kinda weird Becky gave Emily some understanding into the way I acted when I met her. lol

Kripke is stepping down as showrunner, but a Showrunner is who handles the "paperwork" side to things. They're the ones that deal with the network, the legal stuff, etc and pull double duty as the head writer. Considering only ONE source out of all the articles coming out have stated this, there's no reason whatsoever to believe that Eric Kripke would have no hand in the storytelling. If anything, he'll be having a LARGER role in the storytelling side. I enjoy Emily's character, but the first episode was a bit 'omg, this is seriously what you guys think of us?' because there are a few... crazies out in our fandom who are EXACTLY like that character and are the ones who have interacted with the cast at conventions. It's also the picture painted in media articles, so it's embarrassing. While I'm not a Wincest writer myself, it has gotten frustrating over the years for many of the fans that the impressions of a small, obsessive group of stalkers has permanently cemented this image. What can I say? Fandom has done a lot more POSITIVE things such as fundraisers for our troops overseas (Operation Winchester), auctions and fundraisers for the cancer society, food banks, animal rights, etc. And LOL! Chuck is actually Eric Kripke Well, not PLAYED by him, but is an insert of Eric.
