Here's one I think nobody can answer. Prove me wrong.
There's a guitar rift that plays as Brigitte staggers and passed out on the steps. What song and what artist was that rift from?

Hmmm... Was this during the first GS? Yes, it is, and I don't even know if it's credited, it's just a couple of rifts and the rest of the song isn't played, but I recognized it right away. It's when Brigitte was descending the stairs with the syringe in her hand and becomes whoosy, then faints. There's a guitar rift playing there. It just sounds like a freaky sound-effect, but it's, in fact, from a song. What was the song and artist?

Oooh yeah I hear it now. I'm not sure who the artist is but it sounds like The Misfits or AFI. That's my guess cause I really have no other idea >.<
Good question!

Is it a band?

Yes, now that I'm pushing the right reply buttons and putting things in the right thread again. The guitar rift is lifted from a specific song form a specific band. It is almost a tribute to that band to put it at that point in the movie.

The song, from a British band, though not very well known, was used in another horror movie, long ago, which is also how it's also connected to David Bowie. It's a tribute to a famous actor, or it may be a tribute to who the actor famously played.

Gaah this is tough! I have no idea lolz I'll wait for a day while others get to read that hint and see if they know it. I'll give one more: The guitar lick comes at the beginning of the song, which goes on for some minutes before there is actually singing.

It was directly from the beginning of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus, the first "Goth" song by the first "Goth band." It was the song also used at the beginning of the movie, "The Hunger," hence it's cinematic, though not musical connection to David Bowie. I used to go to my friend's house and his mom would play this all the time. It sort of grew me. I think John Fawcett put it in there for the "Dr. Calgari" effect, and as a tribute. "The Hunger" bombed, and Bauhaus isn't well known, but they were very influential. Here's the song, listen to the guitar rifts at the beginning:

Oh yeah. I remember seeing half of The Hunger, but I got bored and stopped after the lesbian scene. I should probably finish it sometime.

"The Hunger" is pretty damn dull, for reasons other than the lesbian scene. They had such talent connected to that movie, too.
