I think it's ironic that this is everyones favorite GS movie...and yet...no one has actually posted anything for this one here...I thought I'd just toss something up...
I love this movie...

okay.. i'll start something then. for those who are in Canada, was or is life in highschool similar or not so similar to the one depicted in ginger snaps one. I'm not expecting a barrage of answers considering the amount of active posters..

ok forget that one. here's another one. can someone (Sam) tell me what is with the guys smoking while the girls are playing hockey (during P.E. perhaps or is it called 'Gym' overthere?) And also Ginger and brigitte smoking while IN class (that is, when in P.E./hockey) So, what i get is that you are allowed smoke (even the students who go to that school) and while even during class and even when a teacher is only meters away when clearly that teacher (or any person) can see the guys sitting down smoking (again, refering to the scene when they're playing hockey)?

nope. not alowed to smoke in class...or at school at all. I guess it was just added to give the movie some kind of depth...who knows.

Actually I've been wondering about that myself (not the smoking thing, the other one), is school really like that over there? It seems like highschool in every American/Canadian film I've seen is full of vicious cliques, and my highschool was nothing like that.

it's not so much like the movie but it's similar. nearly everyone is in a "clique" and they are all vicious towards those that aren't like them.

Nasty... I don't really see that many people down her in my high school. Guess I'm a lucky one.

well, our gym teacher did not give a damn if we smoked during gym... all he did was sit on a bench and give orders. he did actually get fired a couple of years later (do not know the cause though) The teacher ginger and brigitte had did not seem to care so much, not even with the torn up dog on the field.. she allso was really slow reacting to the fight between ginger and that chick.. So I guess she just did not care as much..

I figure it was by the far side of the field, pretty out of the way, so I guess no one noticed it.
That or the Janitor 'acidentally' left it there in wait for some poor girl to run into it, who would then go running to him for a towel. Yes, he is a clever one.

Indeed! And he was so obviously looking down her shirt (despite the fact it was a physical impossibility).
